Graham’s Six Grapes is a renowned Reserve Port known for its excellent balance of power and finesse. Produced primarily from the same high-standard vineyards and grapes used in Graham’s classic Vintage Ports, this wine represents a rich expression of premium Portuguese viticulture. The wine is predominantly made from indigenous grape varietals such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Barroca, grown in the Douro Valley’s schistous soil, which imparts a unique mineral character and intense flavor concentration. The wine undergoes a fermentation process that is halted by the addition of grape spirit, resulting in a sweet wine with a robust structure. It is then aged in seasoned oak vats to maintain its vibrant fruit character while developing layers of complexity. Six Grapes has garnered praise for its depth and intensity, and is often highlighted for its quality and affordability. Historically, Graham’s Six Grapes symbol depicted on the bottles reflects the grading system used by the winery to select the finest lots for their top Ports, indicating the exceptional quality of this Reserve blending.
