Barone Pizzini Animante is a distinguished sparkling wine from the renowned Franciacorta DOCG region in Lombardy, Italy. Crafted from a blend of 78% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Noir, and 4% Pinot Blanc, Animante embodies the philosophy of sustainability that is integral to Barone Pizzini, one of the oldest wineries in Franciacorta. The grapes are hand-harvested from organic vineyards to ensure the utmost quality and then processed using the traditional method, also known as ‘metodo classico’. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, followed by at least 18 months of aging on lees, which imparts complexity and a creamy texture. Revered in the world of fine sparkling wines, Animante has received accolades for its aromatic elegance and balance. Its historical significance is rooted in Barone Pizzini’s pioneering role in organic viticulture in Franciacorta.
