Taylor LBV Reserve is an expression of Taylor Fladgate’s expertise in making port wine, showcasing the estate’s commitment to quality. Made from traditional grape varieties typical of the Douro Valley, including Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Barroca, this port is matured in large oak vats for four to six years, unlike Vintage Ports which are aged for around two years before bottling. This extended aging results in a mature flavor profile that is ready to drink earlier than a Vintage Port but offers a similar depth and intensity. Taylor Fladgate has consistently received high praise for their LBV Reserves, known for their robust fruit flavors, encompassing dark cherries and plums, with a touch of spice and chocolate, making it a regular award winner at international wine competitions.
